A Community Organization To

Promote and Support Breastfeeding

The Sonoma County Breastfeeding Coalition

began in 1996 with this mission:

"To educate and empower women to breastfeed; to encourage breastfeeding-friendly attitudes, policies, and images in the community; to promote unity among breastfeeding professionals and advocates; and to increase public awareness of the value of breastfeeding."

The Child Parenting Institute (CPI) provides nonprofit status to the Sonoma County Breastfeeding Coalition via an agreement affirmed in April 2007.
